A Mother-Daughter Adventure

Christmas balls recipe

Imagine a quaint, picturesque town nestled in the North Georgia mountains, brimming with charm and the spirit of Christmas. This is where our story begins, in the delightful town of Helen, GA. It was a crisp December morning when we, being myself and my son and daughter, decided to embark on a holiday adventure.

Maybe not the best pic of Helen, Ga, but it’s a historical one for sure!

More on that walking adventure later!

Strolling through the cobblestone streets, adorned with festive decorations and twinkling lights, they stumbled upon a charming little chocolate store, tucked away in a cozy corner of the town. The air was filled with the rich, tantalizing aroma of chocolate and sweets.

As they stepped inside, their eyes widened at the sight of an array of stunning Christmas treats. But one particular delicacy caught their attention – a tray of beautiful, shiny ornaments that, upon closer inspection, turned out to be Oreo truffles, cleverly disguised as festive ornaments!

The store owner, a kind lady with a warm smile, shared her recipe with them – a simple yet delightful combination of crushed Oreos, cream cheese, and candy melts, adorned with mini Reese’s Cups and sprinkles to give them that perfect holiday look.

Inspired by this discovery, Sarah and Emily decided to recreate these magical treats at home, adding their own touch of holiday cheer.
